Counselor in Residence Program
University Counseling Center (UCC), the Department of Public Safety (DPS), and the Office of Residential Life have collaborated to develop the Counselor in Residence (CIR) Program. The program is designed to provide in-person mental health support during evenings and weekends when UCC is closed. CIRs are available overnight and on weekends during the academic year. During their shifts they will accompany Public Safety Officers on any mental health-related calls that DPS receives. They may also provide onsite support to Residential Life and UCC on-call providers.
